Day 8

Daily Challenge
You have till Sunday night to complete this challenge:

What is the purpose of the Bible?

Post your reply on the blog. Dialogue with replies from other youth. If you don't see many replies I'd encourage your friends to join in on the discussion. Hey, they can always come in second place ($25) and its definitely better to have companionship (and sometimes competition) in a race.

Race Summary
Our Amazing Race started off great yesterday with 35 youth participating. Kirstie, Laila, Kasey, and Andrew came in first place securing a free ice-cream and 5 bonus points. Second place and third place brought in an extra 3 and 2 points. All contestants received the standard 3 points for participation. A few people earned "bonus points" for outstanding leadership ranging from a recommendation by Carl (the house on Joe Chambers), helping with organization, and first aid assistance.

One youth (whose name you might hear when we are announcing the winners) has stood out for excellent leadership and involvement and has quickly started the daily challenges. I strongly encourage all to engage in both the fun competition and the extra spiritual reflection that this event offers.

Hey Josh! This is Kyle! I loved the kick off to the Amazing Race. I have already sent u the Hebrews 12:1. I have completed 1)What i feel a fellowship event like a race encourages our youth. 2)A description of a duo on Amazing Race 12. 3)Another verse that has the theme of a race. 4)What the Corinthians verse means about the prize. I will bring the "Our True Destination" sheet Sunday. And I will bring a friend who has not been to our church yet. I am very excited and i look foward to our future activities. Do i just bring all of the daily challenges that i have completed (7) to u wednesday, cause i will not be there sunday.

I believe the purpose of the Bible is to be able to read the word of the Lord and his followers. The Bible is a comfort zone to many people and being able to be connected with God and Jesus is amazing. The Bible also serves as a concrete item that includes the path of faith and anytime you need a comfort you can go to the Bible. Without the Bible, Christian people would not be able to feel connected with God and Jesus.
